Besides, grabbing bronze in Beijing Olympic, Vijendra has knocked out many world class boxers in the well acclaimed bouts held in the world. The highest sports award in India, ‘Rajiv Gandhi Khel Samman’ has also been conferred upon the ever promising boxing maestro. Having born to a mediocre parents at a small village, Kalawas in Bhiwani district of Haryana, while accomplishing his graduation at a local college, he kept on sharpening his boxing acumen. The invincible Vijendra greatly enjoyed answering the curious queries of the Sports buffs interacting in the campus of Amity University, Jaipur.
